Rule 130
Sick leave
: (1) Armed police personnel will get twelve days of sick leave every year.
(2) If an armed police officer falls ill and is unable to take accrued sick leave, he may be granted advance sick leave up to a maximum of twelve days.
(3) Armed police personnel requesting sick leave for a period of more than seven days shall submit a certificate from an approved physician. But if the authorizing officer believes that it would not be possible to submit such a certificate, he may approve the said leave without the certificate.
(4) The armed police personnel shall be allowed to keep the sick leave accrued by them.
(5) If an armed police officer is separated from the service for any reason, he will be entitled to receive the accumulated sick leave at the rate of salary deducted from his position.
(6) If an armed police officer dies before taking the accumulated sick leave amount, the person as per sub-rule (5) of rule 74 will be entitled to receive the accumulated leave amount as a lump sum.
(7) If an armed police officer falls ill for a long period of time and does not receive the allowance as per sub-rule (7) of Rule 129, special sick leave may be granted for a maximum period of one year.
(8) According to sub-rule (7), the armed police personnel who take special sick leave continuously will get the full salary allowance and ration for the first three months, and half the salary allowance and ration for the next six months and will not get the salary allowance and ration after that period.
(9) In accordance with sub-rule (7), such armed police personnel shall be released from service if it is determined that they are unable to perform their duties despite being on special sick leave for one consecutive year.
(10) Armed police personnel who become ill or injured while performing their duties shall be entitled to special sick leave with full pay until recovery. If the armed police officer on such leave is found unable to perform his duties even after recovery, such armed police officer will be released from service.
(11) P. that any armed police personnel is sickIf there is a complaint, a doctor can be called to check whether the patient is sick or not.
(12) An armed police officer who has taken sick leave should not be employed in government work unless the doctor appointed by the concerned office recommends that he can work after recovering from his illness.
(13) The armed police personnel under suspension shall not be entitled to sick leave for that period (14) Except in the case of sub-rule (8), armed police personnel who are on sick leave shall receive full salary allowance and ration for that period.
